Shih-Hao Chen Differential Signaling Spread-Spectrum Modulation of the In-Door LED Visible Light Wireless Communications using Mobile-Phone Camera
Shih-Hao Chen,Chi-Wai Chow,

Visible light communication (VLC) using spread spectrum modulation (SSM) and differential signaling (DS) is proposed and demonstrated. Hence, the proposed system can have high immunity to ambient light interference. Experiment result shows the proposed system has 6-dB gain comparing with the original On-Off Keying (OOK) modulation under background ambient light of 3000 lux.

che-hao Li Performance Investigation of 60 GHz RoF System Employing SSB Single-Carrier Modulation
che-hao Li,Chun-Ting Lin,Hsun-Hao Hsu,Chun-Hung Ho,Yo-Hsuan Cheng,

This article proposes and experimentally investigate the transmission performance of a RoF system at 60 GHz employing single-sideband single-carrier (SSB-SC) modulation. For improving signal performance further, we use frequency domain equalizer (FDE) in front of the DFE, and comparing two kinds of guard intervals (Cyclic prefix and unique word).

Chi-Hsiang Lin W-Band RoF Channel Characteristics Division OFDM Systems Employing Low-Sampling-Rate ADCs and Digital Preprocess
Chi-Hsiang Lin,Chun-Ting Lin,Chia-Chien Wei,Huan-Ching Liu,Hou-Tzu Huang,

A simple low-sampling-rate receiving scheme is proposed for an OFDM RoF system. Using the proposed preprocess, aliasing-free subcarriers can be received, and employing the optimized time delays to ADCs can achieve the performance insensitive to the sampling rate.

Guan Hung Chen Fiber-Optic Acoustic Vibration Sensor Based on Fiber Taper Plug Bridge in Hollow Core Fiber
Guan Hung Chen,You Nan Cai,Cheng Kai Xie,Kai Wen Liu,Xuan Yu He,Cheng Ling Lee,

A novel and ultracompact fiber-optic acoustic vibration sensor by using tapered-fiber plugs bridge in hollow core fiber (HCF) has been proposed. The sensor consists of bridging two arc-shaped tapered-fiber plugs and the bridge is fused within a section of HCF. Experimental result shows good acoustic vibration responses can be achieved.

Pei-Yu Feng The pulley-type microring resonator with offsets
Pei-Yu Feng,Chii-Chang Chen,

Abstract—The quality factor of resonator is improved to 3.26×105 by lateral offsetting the left straight bus waveguide due to the factor that the transition loss at the straight and curved segment of bus waveguide can be decreased. The bending loss also can be decreased by decreasing the mode mismatching.

Huai-Yung Wang Dual-Mode Injected Colorless Laser Diode for Directly Modulated 64-QAM OFDM Transmission
Huai-Yung Wang,Yu-Chieh Chi,Cheng-Ting Tsai,Gong-Ru Lin,

A dual-mode injection-locked colorless laser diode directly modulated with 64-QAM OFDM data at 24 Gbit/s is demonstrated. The specially selected injection mode spacing of 0.32 nm which is less than the slave laser spacing of 0.373 nm has led to an improved BER of 1.35E-6, providing a better transmission performance than the single-mode injection case.
