Analysis of an optical model of reflection grating in collinear holographic storage system
Shuai Xiao,Yeh-Wei Yu,Chih-Yuan Cheng,Ching-Cherng Sun,
In this paper, we propose an optical model of reflection grating of collinear holographic storage system. Both the point spread function and the wavelength selectivity are analyzed based on the proposed optical model.

Optimization on Holographic Data Storage System Based on Seidel Aberrations Reduction
Ren-Chung Liu,Kong-Ho Li,Shiuan-Huei Lin,Ken-Yuh Hsu,
Optical aberrations including Seidel aberrations and higher order terms degrade the performance of holographic data storage system, such as bit-error-rate(BER) and storage capacity(SC). Seidel aberrations are the most effective factors for image quality. Optimization on holographic data storage system will be developed and simulated by reducing Seidel aberrations.

All-Optically Controlled Light Valve Based on Ru-doped BSO and PDLC Hybrid Structure
Vera Marinova,RenChung Liu,ShiuanHuei Lin,KenYuh Hsu,
A near infrared sensitive hybrid device, composed with Ru–doped BSO photorefractive crystal and polymer dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) layer is reported as a light valve. The proposed structure can be operated only by light, thus provides the possibility for real-time image processing at the near infrared spectral range.

Optically sectioned multi-plane holographic imaging
Hsi-Hsun Chen,VijayRaj Singh,Yuan Luo,
The optically sectioned image can provide detailed interpretation for fine structure of volumetric sample. However, the existing optical sectioned systems need the multi-dimensional scanning for volumetric object. We propose a speckle-based volume holographic microscopy to generate non-scanning, multi-plane images with good optical sectioning, verified with 25 μm beads experiments.

Effect of Pupil Size on Wavefront Aberrations in Progressive Addition Lenses
Ching-Yao Huang,Shih-Yu Chan,
This study is to investigate the effect of pupil size on wavefront aberrations in progressive addition lenses (PALs) by using a Hartmann-Shack wavefront sensing technique. The results show that only the higher-order aberrations (HOAs) of PALs are influenced by the pupil size, which increase with increasing pupil size and also match the theoretical calculation.
