There are 26 sunlight concentrators to guide the sunlight into the light box. The light box is a hollow rectangular structure. There are 6800 white LEDs arranged around the light box. The 95% reflectivity is applied on the inside surface to make uniform sunlight and white LEDs hybrid light.

Hong-Yu Chen Optimize Aberration for Single Lens Camera with Double Micro Prism Array

In this article we add two prism arrays in front of single lens camera to produce a stereo image pair and correct chromatic aberration. Finally we use lens optimization to reduce distortion.

A compact in-situ ellipsometer using liquid crystal retarder can be applied to monitoring the dynamic process. To characterize the accuracy of ellipsometric parameters, we study the system errors induced by the liquid crystal retarder and the theoretical analysis has been demonstrated.

Shin-Hong Lin The Effect of Thickness and Period of Ultraviolet Gel Film Grating on Side-Polished Fiber Sensor

In this study, the fiber sensor is made of plastic fiber and side-grinded by side-polished system as a sensing area. By using spin coating method, the ultraviolet (UV) gel is coated on sensing area of fiber sensor, and then exposed under ultraviolet light through a grating mask to form a periodic structure of on sensing area. Finally, light intensity measurement system is employed with high-power light-emitting diode (LED) and the fiber sensor to measure the sucrose solution of refractive index. Therefore, the effect of thickness and period of ultraviolet gel film grating on side-polished fiber sensor are analyzed in terms of sensing slope, signal stability, and sensor resolution.
